Keynote Speaker

Speaking on the subject Living conditions in the future Northeastern Atlantic under climate change, Mr. Bogi Hansen will present a unique perspective and insight into the climate change issue, which most certainly is relevant for all ocean life and the environment at large, too.

Bogi Hansen has devoted a lifetime in research by coupling the disciplines of climate, ocean and biological sciences. He received his PhD in Physical Ocanography from the University of Copenhagen in 1977. Since 1982 he has worked at the Faroe Marine REsearch Institute where he is actively engaged in research and led the environmental department for many years.

During his career, Dr. Hansen has also contributed to international committees and working groups, focused on climate impact. His publications are well known and hes lectures and presentations are always in high demand.

Bogi Hansen has been awarded a number of Faroese and international awards, including the Nordic Environment Prize.
